Balbir, My Grandfather

Inspired in Indian folk tales told to him by his Grandfather, (Balbir Ballgreene Nehaul), Thomas Noone creates his first family work. The show relates the value of cultural diversity and touches on subjects such as tolerance and acceptance and the celebration of difference.

Once again collaborating with the English composer Jim Pinchen, Balbir is a work created for 6 dancers and tells the tale of a fantastic journey of discovery, encounters and new experiences.

In this first excursion into dance for all the family, TND does not renounce its signature physical and technical dance language but looks to expand and heightening its communicative power, and by setting the dance in simple yet evocative settings to captivate audiences both young and old.
