An evening in four parts

Through different approaches to partnered movement, Four is an exploration of the way in which different emotional states might be depicted without using narrative ploys. In four clearly defined sections the movement generated is governed by a new set of rules, a “control” on the resulting visual experience.

Accompanied by four separate musical compositions by Felipe Perez, Diegp Dall’Osto, Joan Chic and Pedro Navarrete, Four is the investigation of four emotional states in a relationship: tedium and routine; fragility and vulnerability; aggression, both physical and psychological; fear and dependence.

Four proposes equilibrium between virtuosity and austerity and seeks to create intimacy while retaining distance, generating emotion from an abstract proposition.
