Crush Crease - Fútil - Mur

Repertory: Crush Crease

The expression that there is nothing to express, nothing with which to express, nothing from which to express, no power to express, no desire to express, together with the obligation to express.

Dialogues between Beckett and George Duthuit.

Crush: Crush is based in absolute austerity. Balancing expression and restraint, describing relationships yet never acting these out, its aim is to make the audience aware of the narrative but avoid any type of mimetic form. The narrative is derived from a novel Stella Descending by the Norwegian writer, Linn Ullman.

Crease: The intention in Crease is to invoke an emotion without being representative or illustrative. It is a calculated build in intensity, bodies on a geometrical task. Bodies occupy the space, avoiding contact, They fall into the void thrown through the space, impacting, rebounding, collapsing.

The Music

Diego Dall’Osto; (Crush), has worked extensively creating music for dance. With the Choreographer Jacopo Godani he has created pieces for Spanish National Ballet, Gothernburg Opera House, the Royal Ballet and the Ballet de Monte Carlo and with the choreographer Nicole Fonte for Det Kongelige Teatre de Copenhagen, Het Stadettlei Bern Ballet and Het Konilijk Ballet van Vlaadern. He has also worked with Carlos Ituurioz creating Incert Insert. He has won numerous prizes in Italy and was granted a scholarship by the IUA-PHONOS UPF (Instituto Audiovisual de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona).

Gianfranco Pappalardo; (Crease), began working as a D.J. in his native Trieste before he crossed over into the creation of electronic textures.
